My St. Patricks day

Here I am standing in the Walmart parking lot
But lets rewind.....
When I woke up it was snowing!! I had plans to go to a Estate Sale that had been listed a few weeks back in online classifieds. Thinking that I seen the opening time for 7:30 a.m. I set my alarm for 6:45 a.m. Alarm goes off I check my email and then go to the add to write down the address. When I see that their start time is 10:00 a.m. ("WHAT") I am tired as heck (Because I had only went to bed at 3 a.m.) my one eye is like only half open, and I am awake for no blinking reason. I was going to just stay up "But I was way too tired and at 7:30 I went back to bed until 9:30."
It was foggy out this was the view from the bridge we crossed heading to the Estate sale.
"Turns out this "ESTATE SALE" was a sale where a lady who liked to craft wanted to sell her crafts at outrageous prices. There was no 25 cent items or even $1 The pricing for knick knacks and decor ranged from $10 - $50 "MY HEAVENS" There was no estate to be sold...
It was just a small sale of crafted items and weird 90s decor and kick knacks being sold for more than you could buy the same thing for at Walmart.

(Lady... you ruined my morning)
I didn't have the huge wool coat planned for my St. Patty's attire but when I realized it was freezing it became something that needed to be worn.
A sign on the ceiling of our mall
Stopped here for our weekly visit
I will cry if this place closes down!!
Okay now to the HIGHLIGHT of my St. Patricks day. Mr. and I went into a retail store we visit every now and again. He took off to go look for headphones and I was browsing through some woman's clearance clothes. When I looked in the direction Mr. Coco had went and spotted a Mis-placed item in the Men's department. What was this item I spotted.
On the shelf like 15 - 20 feet away I spotted a BIG RED ....
CRAB BOOK!!! I seriously ran from the clothes instantly and grabbed the book with the biggest grin. I am sure it has a age limit on it (4-6) or something but that didn't stop me from being COMPLETELY enamoured. Then I saw Mr. Coco coming towards me and I showed him the book as he was walking towards me..."I was Shaking Mrs. Crabs eyes up and down"
I didn't even ask for the book. Mr. Coco just grabbed it and held it.
OBVIOUSLY he bought it for me...
What a GREAT man!!!
Do you guys want me to read it to you?? *lol*
Look at this toadstool chair, Isn't it adorable!
I think Em http://vintage-sweetheart90.blogspot.ca/ would like it just as much as I do.
Well it's a kid's thing too... but hmmmm (Now I know why my Mom always asks if I missed out on my childhood) *hehehe*
I ended my night by visiting my Grandma. We had pie and I helped her with her computer. Here is a pic I took of her Bichon/Poodle.
Hope you enjoyed your St. Patty's day.

Ringing in the New Year...

I have 1 hour left of my 2011. I have been home ALL DAY and am grunging it up in yoga pants and a football shirt! *lol* Anyhow I wanted my New Years Eve to be special so I called up some friends and invited them over....

The Sparkling Champagne was to die for!!
And then my friends arrived. I made sure to have a few decorations. Some flowers and candle light. They were all pretty impressed and told me this was the best party they have ever attended.

Below is the group shot!

A Koala gave me Crabs by Sea Mail *Eeeee*

Sea animal fabric, wash cloth, satin scarf, picture & Crab wall pocket

"I squealed with delight when a package from Nelly arrived at my door yesterday morning."
It is Utterly CRAB-TASTIC!

The envelope said it had been posted on August 17 *eeeaash*

That means the crabs had a good 2 months in the Ocean

*lol*

Look at the look on this crabs face.. Omg it is adorable & demented all in one.

Nelly spoiled me to the end of the ocean...

(Leather white gloves * Dice ring * scrabble ring * domino brooch * sweet pink lavender scented heart * hanker chief with a M for my name ( Moconut) * Sewing needles * Yellow daisy patterned scarf * Purple heart pendant)

(Aus calendar tea towel )

Cute books

(Nelly didn't know this but I used to LOVE smokey bear when I was little.)

A Crochet and Knitting pattern book

Inside pic

Inside Pic

(Bottom item Australia bath towel * Cockatoo necklace * cute stuffed chicken * wood maple leaf * mini pixie mug * blow up palm tree * vintage Olsen's Caves hanker chief)

She wrapped everything up all nice and pretty in this floral paper.

I really COULD have taken pics before everything got attacked by me... but I didn't have the patience! *lol*

Also there was a pack of smarties and some hubba bubba in the package too. But I ate the chocolate to quickly and had already broke into the Bubbalicious.

*heh*

*Dice ring goes well with my polish see*

*I was ECSTATIC when I seen this top*

I love it to bits and will surely wear it alot it the spring and summer.

But right now it's getting quite chilly so what Nelly made me below will come in VERY HANDY

"OHHHH a knitted scarf in my favorite color!!"

And I think it is completely perfect, and wore it for half the day today... Even when I was inside my house. *hahahah*

I only know how to crochet... But I am thinking these needles were thrown in to give me a kick in the pants to learn how to knit.

*LOL*
Note to Nelly: Nobody in my family (Even Grandmas) really knit or crochets... So this scarf you made is quite special because I am almost certain that this is one of the first handmade out of yarn gifts made especially for me. (Excluding maybe when I was a baby and some lady from church might have made me a blanket or toy or something.) Which might or might not have happened I really don't have the slightest clue. So thank you very much I will cherish the scarf you made.

Now in this package there was a card and in the card it said

"The apron is for Mr. V.C"

Well the Mr. quite liked the apron as soon as he rolled out of bed this morning (Seriously no joke) I threw the apron over his neck and got him out on the patio for a picture.

(Maybe you can tell by his hair)

*lol*

The Bush Tucker & his tongs

*Snap snap like a Crab or Lobster he goes*

Here is me in the cozy scarf! And I am here to say that Nelly.. you are the opposite of a Grinch... *hehe*

You are more like a Australian Santa Claus

Thank you for the lovely gifts. I appreciate them all & kinda feel like I celebrated Christmas a bit early.

You are such a generous Chicky with a wicked and fun personality

I don't think there would be anything any of us would change about you even if we could.
