Saving up nuts for Winter

 

Mid last week we had our first big snow fall. I opened the door to let the dog out at around 2 a.m. and this is what greeted me.

By Saturday the snow had melted but that didn't mean it wasn't chilly. Here I am in the Salvation Army parking lot. I didn't find alot on this particular visit.

I seen a Santa head blo mold and I wanted it BAD! And the Mr. said NO! and I was MAD!

(But I listened)

@#&%  WHY did I do that??

I kicked myself hours later when the store was closed and I looked them up on E-bay. So I had planned in my mind I would go back on the next opening morning. I knew there was a 85% chance Santa head would be gone. "He was" *Uhggg*

To whoever bought him.....

"If I wasn't Married your Santa head would have been mine"

Jus sayin...

 

Speaking of Santa look who I met on that visit.

And was also rocking the faux fur!

I did some retail shopping here is four new things I have purchased.

 

 The red one is mine the blue is for Mr. Coco

I found them at Homesense for $3.99 each

They also say "Keep Calm and carry on in the inside rim"

 

 

 Apparently I am nuts about nuts! *Seriously* I could not pass up these Acorn statues or finials whatever you want to call them.

I paid only $4 for the large one and $3 for the smaller.  The original prices were something like $22 and $18

(This is why it's always a smashing idea to hover around the clearance section)
P.s. I picked up another owl last night in blue for $2
Now the orange owl is not lonely!

 

The Weather is calling for snow on Friday. Looks like I will be bundled up again for the weekend.

My St. Patricks day

Here I am standing in the Walmart parking lot

But lets rewind.....
When I woke up it was snowing!! I had plans to go to a Estate Sale that had been listed a few weeks back in online classifieds. Thinking that I seen the opening time for 7:30 a.m. I set my alarm for 6:45 a.m. Alarm goes off I check my email and then go to the add to write down the address. When I see that their start time is 10:00 a.m. ("WHAT") I am tired as heck (Because I had only went to bed at 3 a.m.) my one eye is like only half open, and I am awake for no blinking reason. I was going to just stay up "But I was way too tired and at 7:30 I went back to bed until 9:30."
It was foggy out this was the view from the bridge we crossed heading to the Estate sale.
"Turns out this "ESTATE SALE" was a sale where a lady who liked to craft wanted to sell her crafts at outrageous prices. There was no 25 cent items or even $1 The pricing for knick knacks and decor ranged from $10 - $50 "MY HEAVENS" There was no estate to be sold...
It was just a small sale of crafted items and weird 90s decor and kick knacks being sold for more than you could buy the same thing for at Walmart.

I didn't have the huge wool coat planned for my St. Patty's attire but when I realized it was freezing it became something that needed to be worn.

Okay now to the HIGHLIGHT of my St. Patricks day. Mr. and I went into a retail store we visit every now and again. He took off to go look for headphones and I was browsing through some woman's clearance clothes. When I looked in the direction Mr. Coco had went and spotted a Mis-placed item in the Men's department. What was this item I spotted.

On the shelf like 15 - 20 feet away I spotted a BIG RED ....

CRAB BOOK!!! I seriously ran from the clothes instantly and grabbed the book with the biggest grin. I am sure it has a age limit on it (4-6) or something but that didn't stop me from being COMPLETELY enamoured. Then I saw Mr. Coco coming towards me and I showed him the book as he was walking towards me..."I was Shaking Mrs. Crabs eyes up and down"

I didn't even ask for the book. Mr. Coco just grabbed it and held it.

OBVIOUSLY he bought it for me...

What a GREAT man!!!

Well it's a kid's thing too... but hmmmm (Now I know why my Mom always asks if I missed out on my childhood) *hehehe*

I ended my night by visiting my Grandma. We had pie and I helped her with her computer. Here is a pic I took of her Bichon/Poodle.

It has been over 2 weeks since my last post! *Shocked face*

So let me catch us up. It has SNOWED here twice already. Both snowfalls melted within two days or so... Above is a pic of me during the second snowfall. (I got out of the shower saw it was snowing, jumped into the first items I could find and took this pic.)

I found this table mirror this Saturday for $7. I have been looking for one for Hazel (To: new readers Hazel is my 1930s English Vanity/Dressing table I purchased last month.) I was going to buy a brand new one for $20-$30.

I am glad I held out... Because when I seen this mirror on the shop shelf (dusty, dirty & tarnished) I thought.. That is sort of cute! I grabbed it and read (MADE IN ENGLAND) And I thought "Hazel is made in England! OMG she will love it, it must be meant to be."

(I wish I was joking but I am not)

The mirror frame looks to be silver plated its quite black in some areas. The mirror is in great condition and the back of the mirror is backed in some sort of blue velvet looking material.

I was given some money from my Grandma who lives eons away... Of course I needed to spend it as soon as I could right? Who saves money?!

So uhmmm I went shopping...

I found some bras

My heart was sort of loving the leopard one... BUT DRATZ it was too small. So obviously I went with the one I am pointing at. (In case you were curious)

Reg price:$36 I bought it for the clearence price of $7

P.s. Nelly I have been wearing your lovely scarf all around town!

Then I bought this makeup. I always purchase drug store makeup, I have never been one for Fancy Shmancy. But now if you can get it on a bargain.... Well that is a whole different story. I seen this stuff last month and loved the look of it.

Cable knit sweaters and buttons OH MY!

I wore the electric blue this afternoon... I have never even WORE blue eyeshadow before and was sort of worried I would look like Mimi from Drew Carey.. but I ended up loving the look!

Can't beat that price I could have bought two eye shadows from Walmart for about $20

This cute pink bottled perfume was brand new at Salvation Army. I paid $1.99 for the bottle and it smells like a bouquet of flowers. *mmm*
