Portable blue Brother Deluxe Typewriter $3
"I lucked out on this one." I was going to a Church thrift store after I had finished my garage sales. Outside of the church was a pile of donations that had just been dropped off. I noticed the little blue case and un-zipped it to see what was inside. Once I seen the typewriter I carried it into the church to ask one of the ladies in charge how much they wanted for it. I also told her there was boxes of donations sitting outside. (The 3 woman working there are elderly and are all very sweet.) The thrift store in the building is up a few flights of stairs. The woman told me they would like $5 for the typewriter. I told her I would think about it and continued to look around. When one of the ladies saw all the donations she asked Mr. Coco if he could help bring them up. He did and when I went to pay for the stuff I had found they told me they would only charge me $3 for the Brother Deluxe because of Mr. Coco's help.

~Best find of the weekend~
Light up magnification makeup mirror!
I have wanted one of these for close to a year. But they are pricey and I didn't want to splurge on a round piece of glass that lights up and enlarges my pores. I had it on my Christmas list but then Cancelled it out because I wanted Dior Cherie perfume more.
Sometimes it pays to wait..... I paid $2 for this mirror at a Seniors home sale and now it will sit on my vanity table Hazel and help me with my makeup and my eyebrow plucking.

I found these brand new ruffled bottoms at Salvation army for $2 a pair.
(Original price of $6.50 each)

Linking up with Lakota's ta-dah! tuesday

I had such a fun weekend. My saturday was full of garage sales and Sunday there was a community garage sale listed for a little country town about a 30 minute drive away.
Mr. and I went saling and found a few things and then went to a lake side park.
The water is high here because of spring run-off and we just ended a flood watch.

I wanted to ride the frog... but I could not get to him safely.

Mr. & I
*Weeee*
I rode this exact duck when I was about 9 or 10
I am glad they still have the old playground equipment and have not replaced it with the plastic junk.

Cute or Demented??? TELL ME!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Mother's Day at the Chinese Buffet

A picture of my Mother and I and our GIGANTIC plates of Chinese food.

Every time we go I grab at least one oyster... but once I get it from it's shell and examine it. (No clue why I do that.) My feelings change. *lol* I think it's the 3rd time it's happened. So I think from now on I won't put the tongs near them.

My Inspiration for my outfit was a Flamingo eating a Kiwi!
Since it was Mother's day and I am not yet a Mother I decided to take Mr. Coco to the park.

I wore my Valentine Cowboy boots cause they matched my pink dress pretty much perfectly.

 "Yeee - Hawwwwww"

 "You naughty Dinosaur!"

 Be careful Loo!

 "THROWN FROM THE DINO"

On Saturday when I was out shopping I noticed Walmart had their "Big Balls" on sale for $2.50
I like to buy these for Jersey every once in awhile. He LOVES them but makes sure to KILL them within minutes. So they are a special treat.
Here he is sitting waiting patiently to get his ball.
Let the craziness begin....

It's a &#@!*# ALIEN POD!!

 "Go back to your PLANET!!"

 Success in Alien pod extermination
Well that was a bit of my weekend.
I will share my Saturday garage sale finds with you on Tues or Wed as I still need to take photos.
On Saturday I went and had my weekly Ramen. I was thrilled when I realized the green onion in the bowl matched my freshly painted nails!

Yes I am easily fascinated!

Happy Mother's day to all the Mommies!!
Whether your a  mommy of a human child or a dog mommy, a cat mommy, a bird mommy, a rabbit mommy, a snake mommy, a goldfish mommy, a hamster mommy or any sort of animal mommy.

Don't touch my Potatoes

Today I peeled potatoes for Easter dinner. We had our dinner this evening because Saturday is when we go for Ramen and we have yet to break tradition. *lol*
I so badly wanted to do a bit of thrift shopping Today as I have not done any shopping over a week, BUT EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED!! (Except huge chain stores)
I wore a green "Vintage Style" dress that I picked up from a thrift for next to nothing. I can't remember the price because I have had it for at least a year or so.
I bought the macrame bag for $2 It JUST holds my (Wallet, Camera Cellphone & Gum) *eeep*
I suppose I am a big handbag sort of Women. But I really like this bag.
Here I am up in a weeping willow.
My Guy was not really into vintage really until this passed year. Probably because I talked about vintage non stop .... He has taken to it alot more. *YAY* There is a online deal where you can get your first pair of glasses for just the cost of shipping for free. Mr. Coco does not need to wear glasses but he has always wanted a pair so this was the perfect time to get some. When I suggested he get vintage style glasses he actually AGREED and his glasses arrived a couple days ago. Since he got them .... he pretty much wants to wear them all the time
.
Testing out a beach cruiser....
I need to get my bike out of Winter storage. I WANNA feel the wind in my hair again.

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Mrs. Magnolia would love to be Don Drapers Secretary

Mrs. Magnolia sat in a park on a bench reading her favorite cookbook and trying to figure out what to cook her Husband for dinner.

The book (The Family Circle Fish & Poultry Cookbook  1955)

"Oh what's this Mrs. Magnolia found?" A Lobster dish!

She then headed back for home and stopped to take some pictures in the trees..

Thank heavens for her Mastercraft purse

and Petticoat

"Would you like a coffee Mr. Draper?"

I have had this dress for awhile now and was waiting for the perfect time to wear it.
Since Mad Men season 5 premiered this week I thought it would be perfect.
BUT HEY!! I haven't watched it yet... "Why??" Because it's been so long since it was last on the Hubs and I decided to Re-watch it from Season 1. Right now I am in the middle of season 2...
SO NO SPOILERS *lol*

Mrs. Magnolia loves to make faces. But when her husband is taking the photo and sees the face made on the still image in the camera he looked up over the camera to see what his wife is doing.

 Which made Mrs. Magnolia laugh!

Later in the evening when Mrs. Magnolia switches back to Vintage Coconut this photo was taken.
In which I was making YET ANOTHER FACE...

Did you know at one time in my life when I was little and asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I used to say a Ventriloquist. *LMAO*
I swear up and down left and right I am not joking. Whenever I think about that now it gives me a good laugh. (I was not your average child.) And I bet my parents are glad that dream did not come true. (No offense to the Ventriloquists)

P.s. Some of you were wondering what type of Cat Eyes I am looking to get in the future.
"When I said in my last post about Cat eyes with gold and rhinestone accents."
These glasses are for sale here:

These are along the lines of what I have in mind. I love the look of them, but I am all about finding a bargain and that is something that needs to be waited out.
Plus I don't know how my Man will take the news... that I am obsessed with vintage glasses.
(I have been trying to keep it a secret.)
