The bright crazy intricate designed dress

I did a HORRIBLE job of Frocking this Friday. I did wear a frock trouble is... I only took two darn pictures. And I didn't even get the whole darn dress!! (That's your fault Mr.)
I was very rushed today as Mr. still had to go do his last shift before the weekend. So I rushed out the door to go to the "Bag sale" Thrift. I didn't find too much this time. These pics were taken in front of a cute old house on the same street as bag sale. (I love that little front porch area.)
I bought this dress in a (Buy 1 get one free sale) The total was $5.00 so I suppose I paid $2.50
I am crazy about this big giant ring. It makes me think of black licorice whenever I wear it.
Here is the daisy headband I got from Des. http://pullyoursoxup.blogspot.ca/
When I look at this picture it creeps me out. I think it has a weird trance vibe to it. It has to do with my eyes and the top leaves on the headband... "YOU ARE GETTING VERY SLEEPY STARE INTO MY EYES"
*GAHHHHHHH*
Am I crazy or do you get what I am saying?

(I adore this headband so much!! I have always loved Daisies)
I wore a daisy hair flower almost all last summer.
I have a purple dress I want to wear this one with. It was too wrinkled to frock up into today. But that's probably a good thing since I totally didn't snap much pics.
This is the one Mom wore Yesterday in her Birthday photo.
Thank you all for wishing her a Happy Birthday I am going to get her to read your comments soon. (I know she will be thrilled with the ones saying her and I look alike...) because I used to always swear I was adopted. Most people don't see a resembelance between My Mom & Dad and I.
Fuzzy photo but this headband is very pretty. The whole base is green leaves and then the roses on top!
Thank you very much Des & Stylist for doing your fun little giveaway & for the Stylist pulling out my name!!! *WOOOT WOOOT*
Something else came to Canada for me this week.
It was a gift from Em!!
(I love cute packaging)
Em sent me a LOBSTER, PRAWN, CLAM, SHELL apron she bought at Kylie's garage sale!!!
OMG!!! I love it immensely. I am going to wear it the next time I bake (Which will have to be soon now) Also in the package was those red & black leopard earrings. I loved the card... and instantly thought "mmmm Tomato soup" Then I realized... it wasn't soup... it was tea! *hhaha*
Thank you Em!
Lastly thank you to those who became a "Liker" on my Facebook store page.
I was having a horrible time figuring out how to do and work all the stuff on there. (Then I finally realized) I was supposed to have a "Personal facebook account" So I could be (A Administrator to the page.) So all in all I had to create ANOTHER facebook account so I could actually properly run that page and "LIKE" other businesses and stuff.
My name on there is Melanie Sparkle. I tried Melanie Coconut and I got a message saying (They didn't think that that was a legitimate name.) But yet ... I tried Melanie Sparkle... and it worked like a charm. *LOL* *Roll eyes*
~* Have a good weekend Everyone *~

Yes I am still residing on earth...

I have just been slightly busier this weekend. I was sort of sad when I realized I would not have time to partake in Frock on Friday because I had plans to make pies with my Grandma. It was our (second annual pie bake) I asked her last year to teach me and we had alot of fun. So when I felt like pie again this summer I asked Grandma if she wanted to do it again and she did.

We made four pies. 2 apples, 1 pumpkin & 1 Rhubarb, strawberry & cherry.

See all those apples I sliced up?
And look at Grandmas orange pyrex bowl on the table.

Grandma rolling out dough

Strawberry, Rhubarb & Cherry filling *mmm*

That's me forking the edge of the pie crust under the watchful eye of Grandma O.

I just got the apron I was wearing two days before. The ric rac is so cute!

Pies with only a few minutes left of baking.

See the closer front one? I cut out a M and a O on it for My name and my Grandmas. We called it the MO pie. I wonder if anyone else has ever baked a Mo pie?

On Saturday I did go garage saling. I found some stuff which I will share with you either tomorrow or Tuesday. I better do it quick before they find places to live. Normally I keep everything in a box after I buy it, so I can take pics right away. Then after the pics are taken I find a place for them to go.

Talk to you again soon!

My Saturday sale finds!! A better weekend than the previous! *Ya*

I am going to make this post fast and to the point. Because I have a movie on Netflix to finish and this will be my 4th attempt at making it to the end of it. I keep falling asleep...... *ZzZzzZzZ*

These are my garage sale finds. I hope to have more weekends like this past one, I finally found items I was hoping to come across at yard sales!

*Funky Apron/Smock $1*

*small rosebud plate 50 cents*

*Green apple bandanna 50 cents*

*Olive and Cheese tea towel Italian linen $1 each*

*Flowered vinyl chest $1 (Going to store my sewing material)*
I had to put some elbow grease into this purchase. Thinking it was just dusty I figured I would just have to dry wipe it off. Once I got it home... I realized it needed a GOOD cleaning (After seeing a rather way lighter spot up on the top). I used my Olay body soap *lol* and a scrub brush and some water... After all this work.. that soap better have moisturized this sucker!
The seller told me it came with her Mother's vacuum cleaner it was the storage box for it. Later changed into a chest to keep all her piano stuff.

(Sorry Nelly http://vintageaustralia.blogspot.com/ I didn't get her Mother's name *wink*)

*Gorgeous Elgin American Compact $3*

*Brass Made in India shamrock designed dish $1*

~BEST FIND OF THE WEEKEND FOR VINTAGE COCONUT~

*3 vintage Solair chairs $2 each for a total of $6.00*

I spotted these chairs whilst sitting in the vehicle which was still moving, I told my guy... "HURRY PARK!!! THEY HAVE the chairs I want.. there is two of them..... NO THREE OF THEM!!! gooooo before someone else comes!!!!"

The sellers at the sale I purchased them from said: "We thought those would be the last thing to sell... actually we didn't even know if they would sell"

*hehehehehehe*
But guess what it gets better... I previously only had one little lonely yellow solaire chair.. finding these 3 has now made a set of 4!

In closing I have yet to tell you the name I came up with for my Lilac beach cruiser. I named her....

Aprons tablecloth & curtains

I was meaning to do this post many moons
ago. Although having a garage sale, planting flower's and trying to get
things organized kept me forgetting to do so.

Well I am here now, making time at 1:15 a.m. seemed like the right thing to do. *lol*
The top picture is some of my aprons I really seem to have a thing for them and I (DO) wear them when I remember too.
I do have a few others but these are my favorite for the time being.

A few weeks ago I also obtained this crochet one at a thrift store for $1.50 it was too cute to pass up in my opinion, although I also think it may be to nice to get dirty also.
Now these in the picture below are some pretty FuNkY curtains I found there is two panels and they slide onto a rod. I showed them to my Mom she just looked at them and laughed. Apparently her and I have zero in common when it comes to curtains. I am gonna hold onto these until I have the perfect windows to let them reside in.

I love the bright colors and the crazy design, these remind me alot of the top bed covers they have on Hotel and Motel beds.

Now for the table cloth I like it because it has green on it anything that has green always earns points with me. The tablecloth is a oval one I paid $4.00 for it and at this current time I do not even have a table for it. *hah* Don't worry I am sure in time I will and then everything having to do table wise will be excellent and amazing.
