Caught in my pool! Frock on Friday

Ohhhh it looks like a big one!!
Caught right out of my swimming pool!
 *Taking a closer look*
Dress was found a couple weeks back and was part of a fill a bag for $5.00 I imagine with all the other stuff I bought I paid around $0.75 cents for it. The shoes came from a different fill a bag for $3.00 They probably cost me $1 because I didn't find that much that day.
I am wearing a string of pearls in my hair.
You most likely already seen my handmade shell necklace. But see the red small one?? I got it at a garage sale for $2.00 I don't know if it's real coral or fake coral... but I really like it either way.
The bottom is my favorite. I am rather tempted to buy a set of wings and run around town!!!
Jersey is jealous of my CATCH O' THE DAY!
He better be careful or I will scoop him up in the net too!

MY MOST AMAZING FIND
Below

Shake your Coco + NUTS at Garage sales!

I got these two Trader  Vics ceramic coconut for 0.50 cents! The sale we were at was in a big room at a Japanese Cultural centre. I already scanned the table they were on and had not seen them. LUCKY I went by for a second look and bam. When I found the coconuts I was so thrilled I wanted to show Mr. but I didn't see him... so I thought it would be funny to walk around the room holding the coconuts as I am in the above picture. It was the first time this year my Mom was able to come with us and she could NOT stop laughing. Needless to say I am sure the Mr. spotted me first cause when I saw him he had a big smile on his face.

 Zipper bow belt 0.75 cents

 Silky clutch purse 0.25 cents

Never used Coty L'aimant Dusting Powder 0.25 cents

Lady and dog Brooch 0.25 cents

Flower brooch 0.25 cents

 Beveled edge mirror 0.25 cents

 Back of mirror
(Anyone know what kind of metal oxidizes like this?)
I am trying to find out something / anything about this mirror. It looks like it could be silver but there is no stamp and most aged silver I have come across goes black-ish.

1950's Baseball boy planter 0.50 cents

Olive dish 0.25 cents

 Pourers $1.00

Ice Cream magnets $ 1.00

 Bag of thread 0.50 cents

I have two favorite finds I couldn't decide between them.

1st Favorite

A electric lighter made in Japan. It cost me 0.25 cents which was already a SCORE of a deal. But when I got home and looked it over I seen the 18 k gold plated stamp.

What's this???

It's my "New to me" Vintage Persian curly lamb faux fur coat.
It was purchased from a woman who had excellent style. If I had to guess she would be in her mid 60s to early 70s. She was hosting her yard sale in a big straw sun hat, with bright eyeshadow and dark makeup. She also didn't skimp on the jewelry. As soon as I seen her I thought
"This is someone I would like"
She had her own kind of style and I am sure she never goes unnoticed.
I spotted the coat on a rack at the back of her garage. There was only one other couple at the sale They were in between the two clothing racks at the back of the garage and the woman was trying on a coat. I then seen the sleeve of a faux fur coat on the left of the left rack. The couple was about 4 feet away from me and the coat I was looking over.... when I noticed the guy kept looking over at me weird (I was making sure the coat didn't have any holes and giving it a good look over) The guy is then saying something to the lady hes with and then she's staring too. The guy suddenly puts his hand on the fur collar coat that was behind the one I was looking at and says "Excuse me, we are taking this coat!" So I say nicely "Oh okay no problem"
(Really I didn't have the slightest interest in the coat he was pointing at.)
He then says SNOOTILY "We WERE interested in that one too" ... (Okay now I am annoyed! Who are you?? The King of the coat rack?) I had the flippin coat in my hand this guy wasn't even NEAR the arm of the rack I was looking at....  I swear this guy was trying to intimidate me. I looked at him draped the coat over my arm and walked over to the tables of knick knacks and proceeded to try the coat on. (The whole time King of the coat rack has his beady eyes looking in my direction.)
ATTENTION
"If you want something at a yard sale you pick it up and hold it... you don't stare at it from feet away and figure people will telepathically know you were thinking of buying it."

The Host at the sale told me all about how great the coat was and that she had loved it and it's so warm and will be perfect for Autumn and Winter. I paid her the sticker price wich was $4.00
(Can't argue with that)
The seller told me to enjoy it and she was glad it was going to someone who would appreciate it.
King of the coat rack stopped laser eyeing me as I started walking down the driveway back to the vehicle.

Linking up with herlibraryadventures Flea market finds.

Saturday night
After garage saling I needed some relaxation time. I was flipping through Netflix when I seen something luscious!

*Laugh* No I didn't photoshop that lobster in there... He is really on the case!
I didn't even need to read about it. I KNEW it was a movie for me.
(Obviously)

 Sunday night

I really liked this movie! It was funny and had me laughing.
I love Doris Day movies
"Oh and Rock Hudson was a HUNK!"

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as I did.

Celebrating being a Honorary Canadian Mexicana!

Dora from VPJLM fulfilled my wishes on being a Honorary Mexican! I was so happy when I woke up and seen her blog post "Right Here" That I phoned Mr. Coconut at work on his lunch break and told him the news. I then told him we had to celebrate, he didn't put up much of a fight... and told me he would take me to the Mexican restaurant I have been badgering him about non stop for the past while. *woohoo*

Here I am sitting at the table, I like the cute little "window" behind me.
They also had like 4 sombreros there... I was so jealous!

Our waitress brought us out free tortilla chips and salsa *mmmm* (There was more.. but we were half way through munching them when I remembered to take a pic.) *lol*

I ordered what they call the Taco Loco!! It was SOOO good. The half with the cheese on top had ground beef under it. The other side had bean on it. Once I was ready to eat I mixed it all together added my favorite thing (SALSA) and ate till I could eat no longer. "I was not able to finish it... it was quite big."

Mr. ordered beef nachos. He is sort of picky with sauces and wanted to eat something he KNEW he would like.

He also ordered a beef enchilada with a bean sauce.

They had Spanish music playing and the inside was decorated real cute, bright & fun.

I was tempted to tell them of my Honorary citizenship... but I worried they might kick my a$$!! *LOL*

I also received a gift from the one and ONLY Nelly . And look what treasures she sent to me from Australia to Canada!!

A Lobster mitt, A wooden lobster a Australia t shirt & a exquisite sugar bowl. Now the Sugar bowl did have a partner. It came with a little jug for cream. But SADLY it arrived in lots of pieces. I was sad at first... but like I told Nelly. It will give me something to search for. I will Scour (E-bay) (Etsy) & (Thrift stores) until I find it's mate.

Look how gorgeous the design is! I didn't have a slightest clue this set even existed. I love it.
Thank you very much Nelly for the gifts.
I love them lots!
You know just what will put a smile on my face!

 *High Five*

This picture is for Clare Here is my old plastic Scottie dog. He seems to be in "puppy love" with yours. *hehehe*

My garage sale loot for the end of April

My wood salt and pepper shakers from my previous post needed some friends. I paid $2 for this little spice rack.

50 cents for this DANSK Spider candle holder and a set of brand new green candles.
I grabbed these off the table faster than you can say *WOOHOOO*

As far as I am concerned you can never have enough glass Pyrex measuring cups.
I paid $1 this one. If you look at the price they want for these in stores now... you would buy all the ones you came across too. *lol*

Milk glass table lighter $1 " I missed it the first glance over the table. I am SO GLAD I took a second go over. The lady who was having the yard sale was a very nice older lady.
"She even had some faux fur coats for sale. Although they were quite small... but still that just adds to her coolness factor."

After yard saling I always stop off at Salvation Army. That is where I bought these judgmental monkeys. $1 for the pair.

Vintage bath towel 99 cents Salvation army

$2 for the 4 bracelets and the COCONUT necklace

These fantastic vintage earrings were also purchased from the nice old lady for 75 cents. I asked Claude to show them to you guys. Too bad he is more worried about his claws rather than the earrings.

Sterling Silver "Wood carved look" BEAVER!!! $2
Apparently the ladies at one thrift shop in town did NOT put on there reading glasses to see the .925 Sterling imprint on the tail.

("Lets inner NERD out") TURTLE POWER!! So if you must know I have a place in my heart for the TMNT. When I saw these two cups from 1989 for 10 cents I willingly handed my dime over.

Raphael is my favorite!!!

A book from 1966 about a man named Mr. Bumba who helps a Donkey
"I woun't give the story away just in case... "
*hhaha*

Wooden top pull thing.... We have yet to try this amazing creation that was purchased for 10 cents

The date was Sunday April 29th I had just finished up at dollar tag sale day at one of the thrifts I go to. When we got in the vehicle Mr. was heading in the direction of home. When I said "Can we go check out (Other thrift store we usually only go to on Sundays)
Mr. gets in the other lane to head to the said store.
I look through the ladies clothes and don't see much to jump around over. I am walking PAST the baby section when I see something bright and vintage on the very FRONT of the rack... as I get closer I make out a shape that  I am very fond of. My heart starts racing a little faster... I run the last 3 steps and grab!!!

This MOST CUTEST BABY Bathing suit!!! OH MY HECK!! A 60s baby lobster BIKINI!!!!
Even if I tried to tell you how excited I was when I pulled this off the rack... you still would not understand. I swear on the ride home I said how much I loved this at least 5 times. Thank God I married a patient man. *lmao*

But seriously people... WHAT are the chances that this cute little swimsuit would end up in my claws?? I mean hands..... REALLY HOW MANY vintage lobster swimsuits could there really be out there? And somehow... one just ended up in my town... on the front of the rack for me to spot?

I would not have seen it if it was in the middle as I had no plans to look through the munchkin clothes.

THANK YOU vintage Fairies.

 *Close-up*
The store was having a buy one get one free on clothes. So of course I am all about deals... I needed to find something else to purchase with the lobster bikini. I found this  crazy cute little ruffly dress.
It's made of some sort of delicate material and the inside is like a little slip.

For those of you new to my blog. No I don't have any kids, and I am not pregnant. *LOL*
But I do buy things for my "Future baby coconuts" which I plan on creating ... well... in the future.

P.S. Curtise I will take a vid riding my bike sometime soon.

Lastly I had to laugh because it was laundry day for my ("Adult floral pattern quilt")
I am a sucker for cute things and try not to OVER-LOAD the Mr. with my cute obsession.
But I needed a quilt so I went to grab my Queen size Tinkerbell quilt. Putting my Tink quilt on the bed with my small throw pillow collection made our bedroom look like it belonged to a little girl. *hahaha*
To me is screams HAPPINESS...
But I can't imagine how "manly" a guy could feel crawling out of a bed that looks like this to go to work.
