Furry Flurries

(Thursday outfit)
It has snowed all day today! I just got home from shopping and now it's time to relax and stay cozy. Here is my 3 outfits from the last three days. I have lots of finds to share with you so I will post some soon.
 (Friday outfit)
I have been feeling "REALLY FESTIVE" *lol* Obviously I am sure you can tell. When I wake up in the morning I pretty much want to dress like a Christmas Elf.

I restrained myself today. And decided not to do a theme red and green. But I might go back to that Tomorrow. *laugh*
This was the first time I was able to wear this late 60s maxi dress. It was a little too small before but now it fits like a little vintage dream.
*Snowy Path*

Here's the dresses tag. *hehehe* Isn't it cute? "I am a PUSSY CAT"
Speaking of Pussy cats...
On Thursday my Mom and I went and visited a family friend. She has a cute Cat named Kit Kat.
Kit Kat was a homeless kitty she took in,  and now lives a lavish life and is spoiled rotten.
She has long shiny silky black fur.... but the most cutest part of Kit Kat is her feet.

The white fur on her toes is EXTRA long, she has little puffy fluff feet!
I hope you are all ready for Christmas. Because now it's just RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER.
We have a tradition in our family to go out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve. I cannot WAIT!!
*Laughs* I will take some pics at the Chinese buffet.
P.S. I plan to go dressed in Red and Green (I am just warning you)

Vintage Lover till the cows come home (Frock on Friday)

Frock on Friday is here! Today was the first time I wore this dress and I am gonna say I am in love with the darn thing.

Dress: $0.50 Church thrift $2.00 bag sale

Hat: $0.99 Salvation Army

Shoes: $0.75 Local Thrift $5.00 bag sale

Outfit total: $2.24

(Minus Undies)

*hah*

*Moo Mooo* "Come back cows!"

The pics with the cows were taken up in the mountains. The cows were totally camera shy and started making their way up the hill when we got out of the vehicle. It probably didn't help I was calling them. "Cows Cows where are you going? Don't leave cows.. you are so cute" *lol*

I was slightly hesitant and ready to run to the vehicle had a cow got angry.

(My Great Great Grandmother was killed by a Bull on their farm.)

"Hello my name is Ruby Loo"
*heheeh*

"Welcome to Canada: Here is what we have to offer"
(This should be on a brochure)

CanCan can you do the CanCan

That's all folks!

Have a *DELIGHTFUL* weekend

P.s. I have reached 100+ Followers and am rather excited about it too! (Thank you to each and everyone of you.) I will be having a contest giveaway in November to celebrate. I am still on the hunt for a couple more vintagey items.

Some stuff I purchased recently & hats with names

~* Fancy Hats *~

With Names

I really like this one. It's velvet net & sequins.

I am going to have to show you the top of this one sometime. The top is a bunch of sweet little flowers under the net, it actually reminds me of a cake.
$4 for Sparkle Net & Cotton Candy Ruffle

This one has got to be my favorite. The owner told me it was her Mother's and she used to borrow it when she was a teenager. She told me "I am 71 now, so that just tells you how old it is." Her Mother is 91 and going to be moving to a care home. I am really glad I was able to buy these hats as I will cherish them for many years to come.
$3

The original owner of these hats is the woman I have named Flamingo lady.
Now obviously I gave her that name for a reason as some of you know. But since I have some new followers I thought I would fill them in. I purchased two pink flamingos from her a few weeks back.
*heheh*

These three pics below are knitting patterns I bought for 50 cents each. I am going to frame the pics and put them on the wall in my sewing area.

~ Big branch of grapes with matching candle holders ~

$2.50

Now these book ends are one of my favorite finds. I purchased them at (Flamingo Lady's) last garage sale. They belonged to her 91 year old Mother.

What's so great about them you ask???

Well just look below

"Oh SNEAKY SNEAKY"

Were you expecting that?? I sure wasn't.. but as soon as I knew the secret of these bookends I wanted them!

$2.00

Okay so you have seen my wood owl chopping board I got from a free bin at a yard sale. Well I picked him up a friend at a garage sale. Pork CHOP cost me .25 cents.

~ Yellow hand mixer .75 cents it looks so good with my matching nails. ~

*lol*

~ AM LLOYDS radio ~

$2

~ Plastic molded Scottie dog ~

.25 cent

~ SO SWEET Strawberry Shortcake pillow ~

.25 cents

So you may know I have a thing for ocean animals... like CRABS AND LOBSTERS.

Especially Luscious Lobsters... and guess what??

I found one at a garage sale for .50 cents!!!

*Squee Squee*

"I like apples"

*MmmM* "come here apple"

*MUNCH munch munch*

(Lobster has springs on all legs claws and antennas... So he likes to dance and wiggle. How can you go wrong with that?)

~* The gold lace dress *~

On Wednesday I went out for another day of second hand shopping. I didn't find much at the usual places I go maybe cause I had just been there 4 days earlier. Either way I decided to go visit one I hadn't been to in a couple months. By the time I got there I realized they closed in 20 min so I would not have much time. As I scanned the dresses one caught my eye. It was gold & lace and really quite sweet.
It was not vintage but it kind of did have a resemblance to those 50's & 60's party dresses. Remembering the store did not take debit.. cash only I realized I would have to leave it behind and I did. Only to go back there today hoping it was still there so I could get it. Walking in the store I headed straight for the dresses and caught a glimpse of the bottom of the dress peeking out from all the others. *I was HAPPY* So here is is the $8.00 gold lace dress.

Now to be honest at this time it is a little small on me.. but I have plans.. oh do I have plans to start working out. lol "Don't most of us?" I really want to wear this to the next wedding I attend. Other than that I don't have many occasions to wear a fancy dress.
But I could just get my man to take me out for dinner and ask him nicely to get dressed fancy with me. (Don't laugh I might do it.)
Now at this little store they have all the purses hanging off racks. But what I found out once and forgot about was they keep all the lovely little dainty purses in a drawer. They do not hang with the others. And one time years back I found the drawer only to forget about it. But today I stumbled across it again. When opening the draw I came across these beauties.
Disco Diva

Bumpy Blue

Shimmery Sequin

Black Beauty

I had to leave some I liked behind, after all I cannot be a purse hoarder.. not all in one day anyways. Hopefully there will still be some of them there the next time I go. But I did not have the cash to purchase all the vintage purses in the store. And even if I did .. I have no clue where I would put them all.
Another thing I like is hats and here is one I came across today also.

I told my Mother I want this to be my garage saling hat! *lol* I go to garage sales quite often on the weekend in the spring and summer months. And this hat just looks like a weeling and dealing hat to me. *hahaha*
Now to accesories.. look at these vintage sunnies I came across for the amazing price of 50 cents

Now for the last pic of this post. I paid 30 cents for this black and translucent fauceted bead necklace. It is nice and heavy, and I know I will get alot of use out of it. These style of beads always catch my eye I love the way the shimmer and shine in the light.

Talk to you soon...
