Cleaning my nose pores ...

Now isn't that an unusual title? Well it's the truth! *lol* I really like using a pore strip from time to time. And I realized last week it had been a very long while since my last nose stripping adventure. So I picked up a new box and here I am to chat to you as it dries.

So my Birthday was good. Early in the week my Grandma called and asked if I would be able to come to her house for a B-day dinner. So Mr. and I and my parents all had dinner there. My Brother was supposed to come too but he got the Flu the night before. *EEEK*

Grandma always has great dinners and if you turned them down well then you would be crazy. After dinner she brought out a cake. It was called a tuxedo cake and it was simply delicious!

To tell you the truth I had two cakes *lol* Because my guy bought me a Dairy Queen ice cream cake. (A favorite of mine) Look it had green on it!

Thank God it's sweater season right away... as I will need to work this cake off on my elliptical. (It has been being used as a hat holder lately.)

(I am very glad I have told you about how we both call each other Loo because had I not... I bet you would just think I stole this cake off google! *hahahehe*)

I will show you the gift I got from my Grandma & Grandpa. (Step Grandpa but he's so cool I don't really see him that way.) I just wanted to let you know so you would not get confused when you read this.) Here is the card below. *Ahhh that kitty is just too cute* Notice the background? That is one of my pillows. "If you have never had a crab pillow you do not know what you are missing."

Grandma got me the card above, a cute little notebook (not pictured) And the gorgeous unique necklace below.

The necklace was in a velvet bag along with a note from her. My Dad's Dad my Grandpa (Who died when I was 4) bought this necklace for my Grandma on their honeymoon in 1955. Grandma was with him and picked it out in the shop.

The heart is Ivory and it has two gold nuggets. The one in the middle of the heart and the one in between the chain and heart. I know she gave me the necklace because she knows I will cherish it since I am crazy about vintage items and really love stuff with history.

Whenever she comes over to visit I am always showing her my newest 60's handbag or 50's heels. Alot of times she tells me "I had something just like that!" Some day I will have to show you pics of her back in the day. I am surprised she didn't have flocks of men following her home. Actually if she did they would probably flee in seconds once she chased them away with a baseball bat.

I did get some other cute stuff that I really like. But you all know what I have been wanting and waiting to get. The time is getting closer *SMILE* I am getting close to finding my perfect vanity table (Dressing table to some) I just can barely contain myself.

That is going to be my gift from my man and my parents also gave me some moola to go towards it.

*Well this is feeling dry now.. Maybe even a little itchy.

It's time to remove my nose cast! *lol* Thank you for keeping me company.

I couldn't say no to that. Just days earlier I bought a 100 ml bottle of Oscar de la renta Rosamor perfume for $3 Again looked like it had never been touched.

I Love Lamp! Well lamps.. Bowls too if you really wanna know.

Hello there everyone!

Here is my finds from the past couple weeks, Things have started to add up so I better hurry and get them posted. Two weeks ago I got this funky lamp at a yard sale the seller had a sticker with $8.00 posted on it I asked if she would take $6.00 she said yes and the lamp became mine. It just makes me happy to look at. (Turned on or not it doesn't matter) *lol*

I found this Gem in a local thrift store for $6.99. I told myself I better think about it before I purchase. (I do that sometimes.. half the time I don't return to buy the item the other half I do) Sometimes it just helps weed out purchases.. but other times I end up regretting it because when I go back it's gone. I got up bright and early to go get the lamp I could not even sleep properly. *hahah*

I am still looking for the perfect shade to this Halloween colored lamp of amazingness!

These Pyrex bowls were found at an estate sale and had a price tag of $7.00 which I happily paid. They are in quite good condition and will brighten up any kitchen. They sort of had a bit of a dusty like film on them but once washed once it has gotten better.

My Guys Birthday was on the 21 we went to a Restaurant for all you can eat ribs. *mmm* *mmm* I wore this lovely little vintage dress to celebrate. I love the ric rac design on it along with the flowers. It's a tiny bit big, but heck that didn't stop me.

*lol* @ my face "There was windows all around the restaurant, I just wanted the pic of me next to the barrel to hurry and be taken." I am sure you can tell!

New vintage cruiser found at local thrift for $14.99 (I couldn't just let it sit there you guys!!) This is a green All Pro Elite (Apparently came from Kmart back in the day) I bought it because it was green!!! My first green bike. WOOHOO! I took it on the first ride tonight and that is when I took this photo. P.s. my thermos matches!

Oooh Ohhh look at the kickstand! I named the bike (Grasshopper Elite)

It sort of looks like a grasshopper with those legs!

~* The gold lace dress *~

On Wednesday I went out for another day of second hand shopping. I didn't find much at the usual places I go maybe cause I had just been there 4 days earlier. Either way I decided to go visit one I hadn't been to in a couple months. By the time I got there I realized they closed in 20 min so I would not have much time. As I scanned the dresses one caught my eye. It was gold & lace and really quite sweet.

It was not vintage but it kind of did have a resemblance to those 50's & 60's party dresses. Remembering the store did not take debit.. cash only I realized I would have to leave it behind and I did. Only to go back there today hoping it was still there so I could get it. Walking in the store I headed straight for the dresses and caught a glimpse of the bottom of the dress peeking out from all the others. *I was HAPPY* So here is is the $8.00 gold lace dress.

Now to be honest at this time it is a little small on me.. but I have plans.. oh do I have plans to start working out. lol "Don't most of us?" I really want to wear this to the next wedding I attend. Other than that I don't have many occasions to wear a fancy dress.
But I could just get my man to take me out for dinner and ask him nicely to get dressed fancy with me. (Don't laugh I might do it.)
Now at this little store they have all the purses hanging off racks. But what I found out once and forgot about was they keep all the lovely little dainty purses in a drawer. They do not hang with the others. And one time years back I found the drawer only to forget about it. But today I stumbled across it again. When opening the draw I came across these beauties.

I had to leave some I liked behind, after all I cannot be a purse hoarder.. not all in one day anyways. Hopefully there will still be some of them there the next time I go. But I did not have the cash to purchase all the vintage purses in the store. And even if I did .. I have no clue where I would put them all.
Another thing I like is hats and here is one I came across today also.


I told my Mother I want this to be my garage saling hat! *lol* I go to garage sales quite often on the weekend in the spring and summer months. And this hat just looks like a weeling and dealing hat to me. *hahaha*

Now for the last pic of this post. I paid 30 cents for this black and translucent fauceted bead necklace. It is nice and heavy, and I know I will get alot of use out of it. These style of beads always catch my eye I love the way the shimmer and shine in the light.
